AES now offers new green technology made from open celled polyolefin foam characteristics. Portable oil spill kits are available for the maritime and trucking industries. These spill kits are light weight and provide the necessary personal protective equipment to clean up oil, diesel, or gasoline spills.
Spill kit sorbent booms, mops, pads, mitts and sweep are:
- Oleophilic (attracts oil)
- Hydrophobic (repels water)
- Absorbs 30 times its weight in liquid.
- 50-70% lighter than other sorbents making it much easier to deploy and recover
- Reusable- 20 or more times
- Environmentally sensitive- Opflex is a Low Carbon Impact (LCI) product that produces less hazardous waste and is biodegradable.
